When Life Seems to Knock You Down...

When life knocks you down, get back up, dust yourself off and begin again.
Sometimes in this life we encounter obstacles that overwhelm us, and knock us down into a place that seems to be so deep that we may never see the top of soil again.  Then there are times when it seems that we are going to take forever to get out of the place that we are in.  In all of this we still must have the tenacity to keep moving forward, even if it means that we must dig ourselves out of a ditch.  We must understand that when we begin to dig the Lord is by our side helping us along the way.  I have been in a battle the last few months of my life.  It seems at times that I have become entangled in a rut that appears extremely difficult to get out of.  This web of disappointment, one right after another, at times tries to consume every part of my being so that I will be blinded to the things that matter the most in this world.  My relationship with God and my love for Him out weighs any difficulty or disappointment that I may face on any given day.  I have come to understand that the disappointments that we face are only for a season and they will pass eventually.  The seasons in MI change and the weather  around the world changes from day today.  Even though sometimes we may have good days of weather for long periods of time,  then there are times we will have rainy days of weather that seem to have no end, we still must know that eventually change does come.  I believe that the hardest thing for most of us is that we are resistant to waiting on change.  We live in a microwave generation and we want it right now.  Most of us do no realize that even though we want it right now we may not be prepared to have it right now and God knows this and that is why He requires that we wait.  He wants us to be patient and allow patience to have her perfect work.  Why?  So that we will be perfect and entire and lacking nothing.  See James 1:4.  In other words God wants us to be complete, to be complete in Him.  So be encouraged today and know that you are a disappointment away from the best days of your life.  Don't dwell on the disappointment, but instead focus on what is coming after the days or moments of disappointment.  Remember this is just a season of your life and seasons change.  Endure and you will reap greatly the benefits of your endurance.
God bless your hearts,
Monique
